How we make money
Last updated 13 September 2026
Readers deserve to know who pays for what they are reading. This page sets out exactly how The Group Gift Guide is funded and where our commercial interest lies.
Who funds this publication
The Group Gift Guide is written, edited and paid for by Gift Round Limited, registered in Scotland, company number SC515352. The same company operates GiftRound, a group gift collection service. We are therefore not independent of GiftRound, and we do not describe ourselves as independent or impartial.
Where the commercial benefit comes from
Some readers who come here looking for a way to organise a collection will go on to use GiftRound. That is the commercial benefit to Gift Round Limited, and it is the reason this publication exists alongside the service. We say so plainly wherever GiftRound is mentioned, compared or linked.
That is the whole of it at the moment. There is no advertising on this site, no sponsored content, no affiliate commission from any provider, and no payment of any kind from the competing services we write about.
What money does not buy
- No provider can pay to appear in our comparisons, to rank higher in them, or to have a criticism removed.
- There is no paid placement and no affiliate relationship. If either is ever introduced, it will be labelled clearly on the page where it appears, not buried here.
- Ownership does not decide our recommendations. We organise comparisons by what a reader needs rather than by who owns what, and we name the situations where another provider suits a reader better than GiftRound.
- Competing providers are described using their own published pricing and help pages, with the date we checked them.
What may change
Gift Round Limited may in future launch other services for particular occasions, or introduce sponsorship or affiliate arrangements. If that happens, the relationship will be disclosed prominently on the relevant pages, this page will be updated, and any owned service will be identified as ours in the same way GiftRound is today. We will not let a commercial relationship appear as ordinary editorial navigation.
