How we checked the facts

The facts in this profile come from Collctiv's own blog and FAQ pages, checked 18 September 2026. We have not tested this platform ourselves.

How Collctiv works

For its UK consumer product, Collctiv charges nothing to set up and has no fixed contribution or transaction fee. A contributor may be invited to leave an optional Support Collctiv tip when paying, and can decline it.

Standard bank withdrawal is free and normally takes 2 to 3 working days. An optional support contribution, described in Collctiv's current UK pricing blog as 2%, may be offered at withdrawal and can be declined. That is separate from the fixed faster-withdrawal charges of £2.50 for next day and £3 for priority, which apply only if that route is chosen and approved. While funds remain, an inactivity fee of £5 a month applies after 12 months and £10 a month after 24 months. Collctiv says its identity checks, using Persona, verify the identity of people collecting and withdrawing money.

Collctiv also offers a separate business or fundraising service. This profile describes the consumer product only, and the two should not be confused.

What it suits

Collctiv suits groups who want a no standard charge consumer product with the option to withdraw to a bank account, and who are comfortable with identity verification during collecting or withdrawing money.

The main trade-off to check

There is no fixed contribution fee and standard withdrawal is free, but faster withdrawal costs £2.50 or £3 if chosen, optional tips are offered at payment and withdrawal and can be declined, and an inactivity fee applies while funds are left in a pot. Confirm which charges will actually apply to your collection before organising.
